Hyperbaric Services

Oxygen therapy is one of the most advanced and effective treatments available to treat hard-to-heal wounds and other conditions. The Enloe Wound/Ostomy & Hyperbaric Center in Chico, Calif., is the only facility of its kind in Butte County. Enloe has been serving wound care patients with hyperbarics since 2010.

How Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Works

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy delivers 100 percent oxygen in a pressurized environment. The oxygen-rich blood promotes healing, particularly for chronic wounds in patients with diabetes. Treatments increase the body’s own healing factors, stimulate new blood vessel growth in wound tissue, assist with tissue regeneration, healing, and helps to stimulate and maintain healthy tissue.

The Hyperbaric Chamber Experience

Our multi-use hyperbaric chamber seats up to six individuals, including a technician. The typical session lasts about two hours with four or five patients. Oxygen is delivered through a special hood delivery system worn by each patient. Most people feel pressure, similar to diving in a pool or riding on an airplane, and clear their ears as pressure increases. During treatment, patients may rest, sleep, listen to music or watch a movie. We offer a selection of movies to choose from.
