Prompt Care Clinics

Medical injuries that don't require a visit to the hospital emergency room can be treated at two Enloe Prompt Care clinics in Chico, Calif.  The Prompt Care clinics generally have shorter wait times than the emergency room. See our hours.

Learn more about our services and see where to get the care you need during the holiday season. Judy Cline, director of Enloe’s Emergency department, Prompt Care and Trauma Services, and Patty Principi, an occupational therapist with Enloe Behavioral Health, share valuable insight in this video.

Care for Everyday Needs

The doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at Prompt Care are equipped to evaluate and treat medical illnesses and injuries that need punctual attention but are not emergent or life threatening. These include:

  • Flu and colds
  • Earaches and sore throats
  • Sprains, fractures and back strains
  • Bronchitis
  • Cuts and minor burns

X-ray is available on site at both Prompt Care clinics.

The Prompt Care clinics accept Medicare/Medi-Cal and most forms of medical insurance*. Additionally, we offer cash pay service for TB screenings and simple sports and camp physicals.

Understanding Your Options

There are many different kinds of health care facilities. Where you go will depend on your needs. Read Understanding health care facilities to learn the options.

An emergency means you could die or be hurt permanently if you don’t get care quickly. People with symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, or the signs of stroke, should call 9-1-1 and seek care immediately at the nearest Emergency Room. Learn more about when to use the Emergency Department.
