Occupational Therapy is skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of their lives. It gives people the "skills for the job of living" necessary for independent and satisfying lives. Occupational Therapists design and customize treatment programs to improve individuals' ability to perform the activities needed to function throughout their day.

Occupational therapists help people of all ages with physical, developmental, social or emotional problems lead meaningful, productive and rewarding lives. These activities that are important and meaningful are called occupations and can include:

Self-care Tasks

These are tasks of daily living. They can include dressing, grooming, toileting, showering, and the balance/mobility necessary to complete these tasks. Additional tasks include cooking, cleaning, taking care of your home, working, and taking care of others/children.

Independent Living

Occupational Therapists (OTs) help their clients work on the skills that are necessary to live an independent and fulfilling life. OTs can assess and develop strategies to increase independence for tasks such as cooking, yard work, financial management, and returning to work. We create solutions to help make your goals more achievable by adapting the task or the environment.
