Breastfeeding Services
Helping Mother & Baby
Enloe Medical Center gives every mother the confidence she needs to breastfeed — a practice that’s good for her and her baby.
In children, breastfeeding lowers the risk of:
- Obesity
- Diabetes
- Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)
- And other childhood conditions
It also decreases moms’ risk of:
- Postpartum bleeding and depression
- High blood pressure
- Breast and ovarian cancers
- And other conditions
Our caregivers are here to help you every step of your journey.
Before Delivery

However, if this doesn’t happen, our team will guide you to success. Learn how to get your baby to nurse, hear what to expect during your time at Enloe and more.

After Your Stay
If you need help after leaving the hospital, Enloe's Mother & Baby Education Center offers lactation consultations and support.
