Patient-Centered Visitation

The health and well-being of our community remains the top priority at Enloe Medical Center. During the current Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Enloe continues to implement measures to best ensure the safety of our patients, caregivers and community. Our visitation policy has changed temporarily. These changes are grounded in our commitment to provide safe, quality care and are based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

These temporary visitation guidelines will remain in place until further notice:

  • Visitors may enter between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • All visitors will be pre-screened for respiratory illness (cough, fever, shortness of breath). Visitors exhibiting these symptoms may not visit patients.
  • All visitors and patients must wear a mask that fully covers their mouth and nose.
  • Patients receiving care in most Enloe departments may have one visitor per day. This includes Enloe Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, and pre- and post-surgical areas.
  • Patients may designate up to two individuals as approved visitors for the duration of their hospitalization.
  • Visitors must be 16 years old or older.
  • If multiple visitors arrive, only one will be permitted per day.
  • Patients in the Pediatric Unit or Neonatal ICU may have two parents/guardians present.
  • Mother & Baby Care Center patients may have two support persons present per day while they’re in Labor & Delivery and one support person present per day while in Couplet Care.
  • Patients being cared for under isolation protocols may not receive visitors.
  • Patients receiving care in the Emergency department or Prompt Care may have one visitor if required for clinical support. This includes pediatric patients.

Qualifying exceptions to this policy may be considered. Please ask the caregiver at the screening station.

We know the positive effect visits have on our patients, and we are happy to help you find alternative ways to communicate with your loved ones through virtual visitation options. We appreciate your understanding and compliance as we work to keep patients, caregivers and our community safe.
