Enloe set to receive 5,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine - Vaccine prioritized for health care workers at highest risk of COVID-19 exposure

12.11.2020

CHICO, Calif., Dec. 11, 2020 – California has allocated approximately 10,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to Butte County. Of these doses, Butte County Public Health has allocated nearly 5,000 doses to Enloe Medical Center, with an anticipated delivery date of late next week.

These early doses will be prioritized to Enloe health care workers who are most at risk of exposure to COVID-19. The vaccine will not be available to other health care workers or the general public at this time.

“We are scheduled to receive a limited supply of the COVID-19 vaccine and are prioritizing this resource for front-line health care workers at highest risk for exposure to the virus,” said Mike Wiltermood, Enloe Medical Center’s president and CEO. “We have worked diligently on a plan for vaccine distribution, utilizing guidance from California Department of Public Health, CDC recommendations, as well as internal knowledge of our current operational needs. Vaccinating front-line workers will help ensure our ability to continue providing care to our community during this challenging time.”
