Enloe Health Earns Hospital of the Year Lactation Impact Award
CHICO, Calif., April. 1, 2026 – Enloe Health has been named the recipient of the 2026 Hospital of the Year Lactation Impact Award by the California Breastfeeding Coalition.
The award is a tribute to Enloe’s measurable contributions to increasing visibility, access and support for lactating individuals, whether through workplace policies, education, advocacy or clinical care.
Enloe Health will be presented the award at the Lactation Impact Awards Gala on May 9 in Davis. The event celebrates excellence, innovation and leadership in lactation support across California. Enloe was previously named a finalist for the award in 2025.
“From comprehensive prenatal education to compassionate support during birth and postpartum, and continuing with high‑quality outpatient lactation care after families go home, our team is committed to helping every parent feed their baby with confidence and connection,” said Jamie Bracewell, Enloe’s Lactation Program Coordinator. “This continuum of care is what allows us to truly walk alongside families at every step of their feeding journey.”
“This award reflects our team’s deep commitment to equity, visibility and care — and we’re grateful to be recognized by the California Breastfeeding Coalition,” said Nancy Gagon, Director of Enloe’s Mother & Baby Services.
The California Breastfeeding Coalition is a nonprofit organization working to normalize breastfeeding and increase access to lactation support, especially in underserved communities.
Through advocacy, education, and collaboration, CBC aims to eliminate systemic barriers and ensure all families have the support they need to reach their infant feeding goals.
“The Lactation Impact Awards were created to honor the leaders and organizations who are making lactation visible, supported, and celebrated in every space. We know that real change happens when lactation is woven into the fabric of our communities, and these awardees are leading the way,” said Jasmine Pettis Marquez, Executive Director of the California Breastfeeding Coalition. “This gala is our chance to shine a light on their work and inspire even more progress across California.”
