Enloe Health strives to have the most skilled, competent, and engaged staff to serve patients with compassionate and quality care every day. That’s why the Enloe Health Foundation offers scholarship opportunities to all Enloe employees.

These awards are designed to support employees pursuing a variety of educational opportunities. Recipients may use them for conferences, two- or four-year degree programs, training, licensing, online programs and more.

FAQs

Who can apply?

Scholarships are open to Enloe Health employees. Eligibility varies by scholarship, so please review each scholarship’s specific requirements.

How do I apply?

Complete the application online. Be sure to upload all required documents listed for each scholarship being applied for.

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

Yes. You may apply for up to three scholarships using a single application. Select the awards you want to be considered for within the application.

What documents are required?

Requirements differ by scholarship. You may be asked to provide transcripts, letters of recommendation, proof of enrollment/acceptance, desire letters, or a conference budget. Missing required documents will result in dismissal, even if the application allows submission without them.

What is the application deadline?

Deadlines are updated annually and posted on www.enloe.org/employeescholarships. Applications must be complete, including required documents, by the posted cutoff. Incomplete applications will be dismissed after the deadline.

Do I need to be pursuing a specific health care career?

Some scholarships support any field of study while others require a specific health care degree or path. Applications submitted that do not meet requirements will be dismissed.

Do I need to be affiliated with or giving to the Foundation?

No. Donor status does not affect eligibility or selection. The Scholarship Selection Committee does not have access to donor information.

How are recipients selected?

A group of community members, including those on the Enloe Health Foundation Board of Directors and the Enloe Health Board of Trustees, select the recipients of each scholarship. To ensure fairness and focus on merit, the committee conducts a blind review, removing applicants’ names before evaluating submissions. They evaluate applicants’ academic performance, community involvement, financial need, career goals, supporting documents and manager feedback.

When will applicants be notified?

Decision notifications (award and decline letters) are emailed each year after the committee’s review. Annual timelines are published on www.enloe.org/employeescholarships.

How do recipients receive the funds?

Funds are distributed at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony each year. Recipients unable to attend may arrange pickup at the Foundation office.

Can I apply again if I already received a scholarship?

Yes. Most scholarships allow past recipients to reapply if they continue to meet eligibility criteria.

Can I reapply next year?

Yes. Most scholarships allow previous applicants to reapply. Review each scholarship’s guidelines annually to confirm eligibility.

What if my program or enrollment status changes?

Notify the Foundation promptly if your educational status changes. This ensures your application or award remains accurate and eligible under the scholarship’s requirements.

Who do I contact with questions?

For questions, please contact Stephen Kodur, the Foundation’s Caregiver Giving Coordinator, at 530-332-4568 or stephen.kodur@enloe.org.
