Thinking About End-of-Year Giving?

Consider These 3 Approaches

As we celebrate the wonders of the holiday season, many of us will also consider year-end philanthropy decisions. Here are three ways you can meet your giving goals — and help build a healthier community by supporting patients at Enloe Medical Center.

Give from Your IRA

You can make a qualified charitable gift from your individual retirement account directly to a qualified charity without affecting your cash flow. If you’re at least 70 ½ years old, you can use the IRA Charitable Rollover to gift up to $100,000 from your IRA and avoid paying federal income tax on those funds. This type of giving may also qualify as your required minimum distribution. Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a rollover gift from your IRA to Enloe.

“Regardless of the method you use to support Enloe Medical Center with a gift to the Enloe Foundation, you can trust your gift will make a significant impact.”

Consider a Gift of Stock

Gifting stock, rather than cash, is another way to make a significant contribution without affecting your monthly cash flow. If the stock has increased in value since you acquired it, you can also avoid capital gains. Contact the Enloe Foundation for information about how to make stock gifts this year.

Use Your Credit Card

Recurring gifts accumulate to make a substantial difference over time — and you can easily make them using your credit or debit card. Visit www.enloe.org/donate to sign up. As a bonus, you may also accumulate points for future travels or purchases. Review your credit card benefits for details.

Regardless of the method you use to support Enloe Medical Center with a gift to the Enloe Foundation, you can trust your gift will make a significant impact on patients and families in our community. Thank you for making Enloe one of your charities of choice.
