The Small Business Administration (SBA) offers Disaster Assistance Loan programs, at a 2% interest rate, for individuals and businesses.

The SBA Office of Disaster Assistance is the primary source of long-term recovery money for businesses of all sizes, most private nonprofits, homeowners and renters who are uninsured/underinsured following a disaster such as the Camp Fire. SBA says more than 90% of loans are made to homeowners and renters.

Businesses and private nonprofits impacted by the Camp Fire who have questions about SBA’s Disaster Assistance Loan programs, and applying, can call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 for assistance. Applications and information regarding SBA’s low-interest disaster loan programs are available at www.sba.gov/disaster.

Enloe Volunteer Services has announced a new Camp Fire Fundraiser going on in the Gift Shop. All proceeds from the sales of Shubert’s Camp Fire Fund chocolate bars – milk and dark – will go to the Enloe Camp Fire Fund. While you’re there, you can also get an Enloe Care patient-centered care shirt to benefit the same fund.

Thank you to all who buy these items and to the Enloe Volunteers, who have already given $50,000 toward the Enloe Camp Fire Fund! This fund helps Enloe caregivers, patients and families who have been displaced.

The Gift Shop is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and  Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Important Note: Do the popularity and high demand of the Camp Fire Fund Chocolate Bars, Shubert’s is having a difficult time keeping up with the demand especially during the holiday season. These bars are hand poured and made weekly. Please be patient, production will bump up mid-January; for now they will be available in limited quantity. If you have any questions please contact Gina Cuneo at gina.cuneo@enloe.org. We ask that you do not contact Shubert’s directly.

Additional Important Information

  • Homeowners low-interest SBA loans of up to $200,000 to repair or replace primary residence (this is for losses not covered by insurance)
  • Homeowners and renters SBA loans of up to $40,000 to replace personal property (for losses not covered by insurance)
  • Even those with insurance can sign up as a safety net. You will need your FEMA number to do so. The website to do so is www.sba.gov/disaster. There is a 30-day deadline for signing up, so the timing on this is important!

Also of importance will be a "Right of Entry" form ( we will post this as soon as we recieve it). This will allow the state/county to clean up the debris on employees' property. There is a deadline for this of 60 days. If you don’t sign up, your insurance reimbursement may or may not cover the expense, so it can be a critical step to take in getting things resolved as quickly as possible with your property.
