Fun awaits you during Caregivers Week, which takes place June 8-12.

Learn what to expect during this weeklong celebration, including the Enloe Health Family Picnic, daily activities and more.

June 8

  • Join the Culinary Teaching Kitchen for a cooking demonstration. Thomas Cuisine will offer tastings for the first 50 caregivers who RSVP, practical cooking tips and insights about mindful eating. The Enloe Health Planetree Program is providing the event, and Thomas Cuisine is presenting it. RSVP to reserve your seat.
  • In the morning, managers will deliver breakfast burritos to caregivers who work at Enloe Health Fountain Medical Plaza, the Enloe Health Regional Cancer Center, Enloe Health Print Services and Enloe Health & Wellness Northstate Cardiology.
  • Tune in to a special Caregivers Week podcast to learn more about the festivities.
  • An Enloe Health-branded wireless speaker will be distributed as a gift.

June 9

  • In the morning, managers will deliver breakfast burritos to caregivers who work at the Enloe Health Rehabilitation Center and Enloe Health Outpatient Center.
  • The Senior Team will serve a free NOC shift breakfast at the Allspice Café from 1-2:30 a.m., with a Blessing of Hands available.

June 10

  • The Care-E-Oke Singing Competition takes place from 5-8 p.m. at the Barn at Meriam Park. Whether you’re a shower singer or a superstar, this is your moment to shine and win awesome prizes. Compete as a solo singer or group with co-workers. Not a singer? That’s OK! Stop by The Barn to support your co-workers and enjoy the show. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Please RSVP.
  • Join the Senior Team at Enloe Health Park from 8:30-10:30 a.m. for a complimentary pancake breakfast for caregivers who work at the hospital and the surrounding offices, clinics, and labs.
  • In the morning, managers will deliver breakfast burritos to caregivers who work at the Enloe Health Lassen Campus and other clinic and lab locations.
  • Enjoy a Blessing of Hands, self-care items and a photo booth.

June 11

  • The Enloe Health Family Picnic takes place at the Chico Elks Lodge from 4-8 p.m. Admission is free for you and your immediate family. Your RSVP is required. You can purchase $10 guest passes for additional loved ones.
  • Join us for the Enloe Health Spirit of Planetree Awards at Enloe Health Park at 10 a.m. The ceremony recognizes employees who provide excellent person-centered care.

June 12

  • Join the Senior Team for a complimentary pancake breakfast at the Enloe Health Business Services Center from 8:30-10 a.m., featuring a Blessing of Hands, self-care items and a photo booth.
  • Celebrate Jeans & Enloe Shirt Day by wearing your favorite Enloe shirt with a nice pair of jeans.

Every Day

  • Get crafty with coloring posters and About Me cards. Join your department in coloring a “Banding Together” poster and be entered into a drawing for an iced coffee bar. Ask your manager for poster cards and instructions.
  • P.A.W.S. dogs and volunteers, as well as a first responder therapy dog and its handler, will visit different locations each day. Visit Inside Enloe for details on location and time for each day.
  • Visit the Reset Den. Unwind with aromatherapy, massage chairs, a basket of blessings and quiet meditation.
  • Send Care-O-Grams. Brighten your colleagues’ day with emailed messages.

Enjoy the Picnic

Attend the Enloe Health Family Picnic on June 11 from 4-8 p.m. at the Chico Elks Lodge, 1705 Manzanita Ave. RSVP by June 1.

All employees, physicians, partner employees, volunteers and board members are invited. Admission is free to you and your immediate family, those living in your household or a significant other. To include family members who don’t reside with you, please purchase a $10 guest pass for each person.

Enjoy barbecue, face painting, balloon creations, lawn games and a cornhole tournament. Get a tour of an ambulance and a FlightCare helicopter. Plus, savor sweet and salty treats, kid and adult beverages, and much more. See you there!
