Closed-toed shoes and scrubs are required for simulation participation.
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Describe two treatment assessments of a patient in cardiac arrest with pulseless electrical activity (PEA).
- Describe two treatment assessments of patients in a ventricular fibrillation (V-fib) cardiac arrest.
- Use the Zoll defibrillator to provide defibrillation, cardioversion, and pacing, and as an AED.
- Describe two treatment assessments of patients in an asystolic cardiac arrest.
- Explain the team leader’s responsibility in an asystolic/PEA cardiac arrest.
- Function correctly in assigned team roles based on job classification.
