  • Pre-Course Requirement: Read the book “Everyone Communicates, Few Connect” by John Maxwell. Hardcover and paperback versions are available on Amazon. Bring this book to each class session.
  • Cancellation Policy: Courses with fewer than five pre-registrants may be cancelled. 

Please attempt to attend all six class dates. Speak to the instructor if you have to miss a class.

Description

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Differentiate between communicating and connecting.
  • Identify five communicating principles and five communicating practices to connect with co-workers, family, and patients.
  • Recognize ways that improving communication skills can help them connect in a very diverse population.

Continuing Education

Enloe Health is offering 1 Continuing Education contact hour for BRN/RCP/EMS per date of attendance.

  • BRN: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP #000180, for the number of hours indicated.
  • RCP: This Course meets the requirements for CE for RCPs in California.
  • EMS: Approved by California EMS CE Provider #65-0569 for the number of hours indicated.
