Those who provide care to patients with diabetes are invited to this educational event.
It will feature speakers on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, diabetes technology, nutrition, diabetic and cardiorenal health optimization, and diabetes prevention.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.
Objectives:
- Define the key difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
- Employ safety measures for social and cultural empowerment of diabetes patients.
- Describe the role of nutrition in person-centered diabetes care.
- Discuss implications for diversity, equity and inclusion as it relates to the direct care of diabetic patients.
