Just like hospitals across America, Enloe Medical Center is experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases. We recently spoke with Marcia Nelson, M.D., Enloe’s Chief Medical Officer, to discuss the current situation, how Enloe’s responding, how you can help and more.

COVID-19 Patients at Enloe Throughout the Pandemic

The above chart represents a five-day rolling average for the number of patients hospitalized at Enloe Medical Center, and specifically in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), since the beginning of the pandemic.

COVID-19 Patients at Enloe in the Last 90 Days

The above chart represents a five-day rolling average for the number of patients hospitalized at Enloe, and specifically in the ICU, in the last three months.

Age Breakdown for COVID-19 Patients Who Visited Enloe Prompt Care

These are patients who came to our outpatient clinic seeking care for COVID-19. They either received care on the spot or were referred to Enloe's Esplanade campus for inpatient care. 

Age Breakdown for COVID-19 Patients Who Visited the Emergency Department

These are patients who presented to the Emergency Department on Enloe’s Esplanade campus. They may have received care and then returned home, or been admitted for a longer stay. 

Age Breakdown for Patients Hospitalized at Enloe with COVID-19

These patients were admitted to the hospital on Enloe’s Esplanade campus for care lasting more than one day. Enloe does not have a pediatric ICU. Depending on the clinical care required, some pediatric COVID patients may be transferred elsewhere.
