Your Wound Care Visit

Tell your care team about any allergies you may have, as well as all medicine, vitamins, pills or herbal products you’re taking.

Bring your insurance card and any medical records from your primary doctor we don’t already have.

If you’re diabetic, bring snacks or medications as the first visit takes extra time.

When you arrive, our caregivers will review your medical history, assess your wound and check your general health. The doctor may order tests to evaluate blood flow in the wound area.

Your Treatment Program

When your tests are in, we’ll put together a treatment program based on your unique needs. This program will include regular visits for treatment, checking progress or making changes. We’ll provide you or your caregiver with instructions for how to care for your wound between visits.
