Injuries that don’t require a visit to the emergency room can be treated at Enloe Health Prompt Care. When appropriate, choosing this option saves you time and money. These urgent care services are available if you live in Chico, Oroville, Paradise or another part of the North State.

Meeting Your Urgent Needs

The caregivers at Prompt Care treat several illnesses and injuries. These conditions need quick attention, but are not emergencies or life-threatening. These include:

  • Allergies
  • Bronchitis
  • Colds, the flu, COVID-19 and other viruses
  • Cuts and minor burns
  • Ear aches
  • Minor eye problems
  • Minor strains, sprains, contusions and fractures
  • Pediatric urgent care
  • Rashes
  • Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)/sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • Skin infections and abscesses
  • Sore throats
  • Sprains, fractures and back strains
  • Tooth pain
  • Urinary symptoms

Additionally, X-ray is available at our walk-in clinic.

An Important Note About Our Services

Prompt Care does not offer:

  • COVID tests for screening, or returning to work or school
  • CT scans
  • Disability paperwork
  • Doctor’s notes for treatment received at another medical facility
  • First rabies vaccination
  • Immunization titers
  • Orders for MRIs
  • Routine immunizations
  • Telehealth visits
  • Ultrasounds
  • Workers compensation services

Insurance

Enloe Health Prompt Care accepts most forms of medical insurance, including Partnership HealthPlan.* We also offer cash pay service for TB screenings and simple sports and camp physicals.

Understanding Your Options

There are many different kinds of health care facilities. Where you go will depend on your needs. An emergency means you could die or be permanently hurt if you don’t get care quickly. You should call 911 or seek care at the nearest emergency room if you have:

  • Arm weakness or numbness, or the inability to move one arm
  • Bleeding that does not stop or slow down
  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Drooping or numbness on one side of your face
  • Head trauma or a concussion
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Slurred speech or difficulty speaking
  • Sudden blurred vision, double vision or loss of vision
  • Sudden confusion or disorientation
  • Sudden loss of balance or coordination

Finding a Primary Care Doctor

Prompt Care treats patients who do not have a primary care physician, are unable to reach their doctor or need care without an appointment.

8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (We see all patients who arrive and check in before 7 p.m.)

Holidays: Open (with reduced hours) on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day

This facility offers walk-in service every day and appointments twice a week.

COVID Testing

Enloe Health Enloe Medical Center is not a COVID test site. However, several locations across Butte County administer COVID tests, per Butte County Public Health.
