Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery
Enloe Medical Center offers specialized urogynecology services, pelvic exams and expertise in vaginal surgery.
A female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon, also known as a urogynecologist, is a physician who has special training to diagnose and treat women with pelvic floor disorders.
The pelvic floor is formed by a group of muscles, in the shape of a hammock, across the pelvis. These muscles hold the organs in place, like the bladder, uterus, vagina and intestines, among others.
Urogynecologists are physicians who complete medical school and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, or urology with additional years of fellowship training and certification in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.

If you suffer from a pelvic floor disorder, contact us to get the help you need. There’s no need to see multiple specialists, or travel to Sacramento or the Bay Area. You can see a board-certified surgeon right here in Chico. If you think you’re having pelvic floor issues, ask your doctor for a referral.
