Level II Trauma Center | Emergency Department

Enloe Medical Center is the region's verified Level II Trauma Center and a Joint Commission Accredited STEMI Receiving Center. “STEMI” refers to a ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction. This is a very serious type of heart attack that impacts your heart’s lower chambers. Hospitals that receive this recognition are as prepared as possible to perform evidence-based, lifesaving treatment when necessary.

Enloe is one of only two American College of Surgeons (ACS) verified Level II Trauma Centers north of metro Sacramento.

Board-certified emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, cardiologists, and allied medical professionals are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to handle emergencies. Enloe’s Emergency Services Department is also designated for emergency pediatric care and includes specialized equipment to treat children.
