Start the process with a free assessment that lasts 1-2 hours and is conducted by a psychiatric professional. No referral is needed. Although an appointment is preferred, walk-ins are welcome. Loved ones are welcomed to attend for additional support.
If you are admitted, you will be shown your room and given a tour of the unit. You are welcome to bring your own toiletries, but we can provide them. Please bring three days worth of clothing. Laundry facilities are available.
During your visit, you will meet with a doctor, social worker, occupational therapist and our nursing staff. You may also see volunteers, who visit the unit at different times throughout the month and provide music therapy, and Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholic Anonymous services.
Amenities: A comfortable patient lounge is provided with cable TV, a stereo and reading materials. We also have a workout room with stationary bicycles and treadmills, as well as an outdoor patio.
About electronics: To ensure the best treatment possible and help patients focus, please leave electronic devices at home. If you need to take care of personal or business matters during your stay, accommodations will be considered. Telephones are provided outside of your room, and you may make and accept calls from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless a group meeting is taking place.
About smoking: Although we encourage patients to use a nicotine patch during their stay, we do offer a smoking patio with tables, chairs and shade. These are accessible from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless a group meeting is taking place.
