Sandra Bernstein joined Enloe Health in 2006 as a registered nurse and has held a variety of roles throughout her tenure. In 2008, Sandra became the assistant nurse manager at Enloe Health Medical East. In 2011, she assumed the role of nurse manager at the same unit, which became Enloe Health Medical Neurological, a nursing unit located in Enloe Health Enloe Medical Center’s Magnolia Tower.
In 2016, Sandra became the director of Enloe Health’s Nettleton Mother & Baby Care Center.
Sandra’s compassionate, collaborative and team-oriented leadership style served to be well utilized within her role as Senior Director of Nursing Operations from 2021 through May of 2025, at which point she transitioned to the role of Interim Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services.
She became the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services in fall of 2025.
Sandra and her husband enjoy the outdoors and spending time with their five children on their small farm.
