Ann Patterson has volunteered for several organizations, including Children’s Home Society, the Shasta Elementary Parent Teacher Association and Pleasant Valley High School Sports Boosters. She is also a member of Women In Touch. Before transitioning to her most important job — full-time, stay-at-home parent — Ann was the Membership Director at the Chico Chamber of Commerce.
For two years, Ann represented Chuck Patterson Auto World as head of the Prius car giveaway, raising nearly $200,000 in both 2008 and 2009. The proceeds benefited athletics at Pleasant Valley High School and Chico High. Ann enjoyed overseeing this year-round fundraising project, especially working with many community members, media outlets, parents and Chico Unified School District employees.
Born in San Jose, Ann grew up in California, Hawaii, Utah and Arizona. She considers Chico home and graduated from California State University, Chico, with a bachelor’s in information and communication studies. In 2024, Ann and her spouse, Pat, celebrated 39 years of marriage. They enjoy traveling and spending time with family, friends, and their dogs.
