Since 2004, Enloe Health has presented the Physician Legacy Award to a physician whose body of work — inside and outside the profession — has created a lasting impact, a real legacy.

The 2025 Physician Legacy Award winner is Edward O’Regan, M.D.

Criteria for Selection

When nominating a caregiver for the Physician Legacy Award, that person should be:

  1. A respected physician whose leadership at Enloe and in the community, both locally and at large, has changed our world for the better
  2. A physician who has been a member of the medical staff for more than 10 years and has privileges at Enloe Health
  3. A physician with excellent clinical knowledge and skill

Please note that previous recipients are not eligible.
