Therapeutic Features at the Rehabilitation Center

Patients can benefit from a variety of therapeutic programs, equipment and environments offered at the Enloe Rehabilitation Center, located in Northern California.

Therapy Gyms

We offer three separate gymnasiums at the Enloe Rehabilitation Center. The expansive therapy gymnasium includes a variety of helpful equipment, such as:

SMART Balance Master, which can assess and treat a variety of balance disorders; and
Gait Lite, which benefits patients through partial body weight support for enhanced gait training.

Animal Assisted Therapy

Through Enloe's Animal Assisted Therapy Program a highly trained service dog offers patients therapeutic support and emotional comfort. Molly, a yellow lab/golden retriever mix, assists in recreational, occupational, speech and physical therapy exercises. Accompanied by an Enloe therapist, she makes weekly visits with inpatients. A dog’s presence can take away anxiety and fear that patients may be experiencing. That, in turn, lightens the mood, brings motivation and enriches the patient experience at Enloe. Animal Assisted Therapy is a Planetree program at Enloe.

Therapeutic Pool and Arthroswim

Our skilled staff provides aquatic therapy in a warm exercise pool for inpatients and outpatients. The pool, located inside the Rehabilitation Center, is kept at a constant 95-degrees.

An Arthroswim gentle water exercise program is also held in the therapy pool for individuals with:

Arthritis
Lower-back pain
Chronic pain
Muscle weakness
Orthopedic injuries

Therapists lead Arthroswim participants through a series of specially designed exercises and movements that, with the aid of the water's buoyancy and resistance, can help improve joint flexibility, muscle tone and range of motion. Outdoor Mobility Court

Simulating home and community environments, including cobblestone, grass, concrete and ramps, the outdoor mobility court at the Enloe Rehabilitation Center provides a helpful convenient for patients to practice mobility on outdoor terrains.

Transitional Living Apartment

We offer a realistic environment that gives patients an opportunity to practice their new skills and gain confidence. Equipped with a kitchen, living room and bedroom, our Transitional Living Apartment is located in the Rehabititation Center.
