Enloe Comprehensive Breast Care (ECBC)
Personalized and Compassionate
For those who are at high risk for or diagnosed with breast cancer, and upon physician referral, Enloe Comprehensive Breast Care (ECBC) offers the services provided by the Enloe Regional Cancer Center’s full range of services, plus:
Breast Surgical Services
Surgery is considered the primary treatment for breast cancer.
Surgeons
who perform diagnostic and therapeutic breast surgery as well
as plastic surgeons who perform reconstructive breast surgery
are readily available upon referral to Enloe Comprehensive Breast Care. For those who meet the criteria and so desire, breast reconstruction
may be performed at the time of a mastectomy or later.
Nurse Navigation Services
Advanced practice nurses guide patients through the complex
and highly individualized process of breast cancer diagnosis,
treatment and survivorship, to ensure timely, efficient and
supportive care.
Risk Assessment and Evaluation
for
Hereditary Breast
and Ovarian Cancer
In collaboration with a breast surgical oncologist and certified
genetic counselor, our advanced practice nurses can provide services as appropriate, including breast
cancer risk assessment, evaluation for the Hereditary Breast
and Ovarian Cancer (BRCA) syndrome, genetic testing and
ongoing follow up.
Survivorship
As patients complete their primary treatment plan, they will be
placed on a follow-up schedule that will include rotating visits
with the surgeon, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist,
advanced practice nurses and the primary care provider,
as appropriate.
At completion of chemotherapy treatment, patients will also receive a written survivorship care plan.
Getting Started
An appointment can be set through your primary care physician, for an initial meeting with an advance practice nurse. This will be your starting point for the initiation of treatment, and the nurses provide guidance through the steps ahead.
