Email a Patient

Enloe Medical Center’s volunteers invite you to send a FREE email card to a loved one or friend who is a patient at Enloe Medical Center.

Email cards are checked twice every day. They are checked at 9:00 a.m. and hand-delivered to patients before 11:00 a.m., and also checked at 5:00 p.m. and hand-delivered to patients by 8:00 p.m. Delivery of email cards may be delayed during holidays. Email received after the intended recipient has been discharged will not be delivered 

Please note that the email card program is set up only to receive messages and cannot send outgoing replies. The Enloe email card service respects message confidentiality. For more information about this program, please read our frequently asked questions below.

What is the Enloe email card service?

Enloe’s email card service is designed to provide friends and family members a convenient tool to communicate with patients at Enloe Medical Center by using this free service to send good wishes and encouraging messages.

How can I send an email card?

Sending an email card is easy. Simply scroll to the top of this page and click on the Send an email card link to wish someone congratulations on the birth of a baby, happy birthday, get well soon, or just to let them know you are thinking of them. Once you click the link, a form will appear for you to enter your message. Then click “send.” It’s that easy!

Is the email card service free?

Yes! The Enloe email card service is FREE. It is provided and funded by Enloe Medical Center’s volunteers for patients and their families and friends.

Can the person I’m sending the email card to send a response email?

The email card service is set up only to receive messages and cannot send outgoing replies. If you have the patient’s full first and last name, you may contact the hospital’s main switchboard at (530) 332-7300 to speak with a patient.

Are the email messages I send confidential?

All messages received are handled confidentially. Upon receipt, your email will be printed, placed in a sealed envelope and delivered directly to the patient’s room. The email card program is designed for get well wishes and encouraging thoughts only. Any other types of communication or messages (i.e. questionable content, personal or professional business, or solicitations) will not be delivered.
