Cardiac Rehabilitation

Enloe Medical Center offers a range of outpatient programs designed for people recovering from cardiac disease or conditions, or looking to prevent them. These include the following:

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Education is an important component of Cardiac Rehabilitation. Your Heart, Your Future and the Healthy Heart class series help participants gain knowledge and skills that lead to a healthier lifestyle. Our Stress Management class is available for those interested in modifying this risk factor.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Program

Physical conditioning, through monitored exercise in a supervised setting, helps people with heart disease increase their strength and endurance safely. Cardiac rehabilitation nurses and exercise physiologists provide individual guidelines to participants. Exercises are done in small groups three times a week for 12 weeks at the Enloe Outpatient Center. Covered by most insurance programs. Physician referral is required.

Cardiac Maintenance and Prevention Exercise Program

This program is designed for individuals who have completed the 12-week Cardiac Rehabilitation program or those who have risk factors for heart disease and want to exercise in a supervised setting. Exercise sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning at the California State University, Chico campus. We encourage participants to bring along a spouse or a support person.

Smoking Cessation

This is an important step for people with heart disease. Trained staff provide support and information about available resources.

Nutrition Assessment and Dietary Counseling

Registered dietitians provide individual guidelines to help improve patients' eating patterns, address specific health needs and reach goals.

Anticoagulation Clinic

Enloe also offers an Anticoagulation Clinic, providing safe, therapeutic care of people on anticoagulant medication.
