Clinical Trials
Enloe
Medical Center participates in clinical cancer trials, giving patients
access to technologies and expertise typically found in major teaching
hospitals. By taking part in these research studies, the Cancer
Center can offer some of the newest drugs and treatments through
university-based and pharmaceutical clinical trials. Some drugs
and treatments are not available outside of clinical research.
The
hospital also participates in nursing research at UCSF to study
patient tolerance to treatments and their side effects. In addition,
patients may voluntarily participate in a national registry for
the newly improved Mammosite® balloon catheter if undergoing
accelerated partial breast irradiation. For more information,
please call 530.332.3808.
