Enloe Foundation: Board of Directors

The Enloe Foundation is governed by dedicated community members who volunteer their time and service, reaching out to our community, sharing the story of Enloe Medical Center, and helping to create connections between potential donors and the medical center programs that benefit from their support.

Volunteer Members 

 

Mark Kimmelshue, Chair

Mark is a local farmer and General Manager/CEO for Associated Rice Marketing Cooperative (ARMCO), a company he co-founded. He became a board member in 2012. Mark serves on several local boards and is a member of the Durham Exchange Club. He lives in Durham with wife Diane and they have two children.

 

 

Melisse LarrabeeMelisse Larrabee, Vice Chair

Melisse Larrabee is a shareholder in Pantaleoni Ranch, Inc. and a partner in Butte Vista Orchards. She joined the board in 2006 and was Secretary / Treasurer in 2007 & 2008. She currently serves on the Enloe Foundation Golf Tournament Committee, and was Chair in 2008. Melisse was also Chair of Enloe 2000 in 1995. Melisse has served as a leader at Bidwell Presbyterian Church and Butte Creek Country Club.

Michael Dailey, SECRETARY

Michael has worked as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley since 2011, providing comprehensive financial planning and investment services for a diverse clientele. He previously served as Client Manager for the Premier Banking and Investments division of Bank of America. Michael and his wife Kristy are natives of Chico, where they are raising their three children. They are passionate about the stewardship ethic and serving the local community.

 

Scott Chalmers

Scott is a local businessman who owned and operated a property management firm in Chico from 1981 until 2010. He has been an active supporter of the Chico community for more than 30 years through several organizations. Chalmers endowed three educational scholarships and was recognized with the Boys and Girls Club’s Annual Humanitarian Award and by the CSU Chico College of Business as a Distinguished Alumnus.

 

 

Christie Chrysler, SecretaryCHRISTIE CHRYSLER

Christie is a community volunteer leader who has served as a Playhouse Project Chair and committee volunteer since the project’s inception. Joining as a board member in 2009, Christie served as the Co-Chair of the 2010 Enloe Gala Committee as well as serving on the 2013 Enloe Gala Committee. Christie is also a leader at the Turner Print Museum.

 

 

Kenneth N. Derucher

Dr. Derucher is the former Dean of the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management at CSUC. Ken joined the board in 2009 and currently serves on the New Beginning Campaign Committee and the Enloe Golf Tournament Committee.

 

 

 

Liz FlemingLIZ FLEMING

Liz is a retired CSUC educator who has served as a member of the board since 2003. A founding volunteer of Enloe Cancer Connections, Liz serves on the Planetree Leadership Committee, Enloe Foundation Scholarship Committee, Chico Community Scholarship Association and North Valley Health Education Foundation. She is also a leader with PEO and the Bidwell Presbyterian Church.


 

Laverna Hubbard, Vice Chair LAVERNA HUBBARD

Laverna is President of Medical Business Solutions, a practice management company, and previously served as Executive Director of North State Radiology. She joined the board in 2006 and serves on the New Beginning Campaign Committee. In addition to Enloe, Laverna has been on the board of the Chico Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimist International, and the California Medical Assistant Association.

 

Tom Hughes

Tom is Vice President of Employee Benefits for InterWest Insurance Services, Inc. He became a board member in 2012. Tom is a member of the Chico Noon Rotary Club, Chairman of the Chico Community Scholarship Association and a leader at Bidwell Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Kristy live in Chico and have three children.

 

 

 

Sandy KalinowskiSandy Kalinowski

Sandy is a community volunteer leader who is retired from the real estate industry. Joining the board in 2006, Sandy serves on the New Beginning Campaign Committee, the Enloe Foundation Scholarship Committee and served on the 2010 and 2013 Enloe Gala Committee. 

 

 

 

 

ERIC LARRABEE

Eric is the owner and partner of Larrabee Farms in Butte City. He serves several local and statewide organizations including the California Rice Research Board, the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) and the Western Canal Water District. He has served as Commissioner for District 5 of the Glenn County Planning Commission. Eric has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Chico. He lives in Durham and enjoys spending time with his wife, Treasa, and twin daughters Jillian and Abigail. Eric’s service on the Enloe Board of Trustees began Jan. 1, 2007.

 

 

Michael MarksMichael Marks

Mike is the President of Michael Marks Insurance Agency. He joined the board in 1996 and has served as Vice Chair previously. Involved professionally as a leader of the North Valley Chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Mike also serves the community as a founding board member of the Seneca Foundation in Chester, and is a member of the Chico Noon Rotary Club.

 

 

Tom MartinTom Martin

Tom farms almonds and is retired as President of Durham Pump, Inc. Joining the board in 2006, Tom is the Tri-Chair of the New Beginning Campaign and a former Vice Chair of the board. Tom’s various services to the community include leadership on the board of Northern California Farm Credit, Chico Noon Rotary and the President's Advisory Board at CSUC.

 

 

Susan R. MinasianSUSAN R. MINASIAN

Susan is retired from a career in law in both the corporate and government sectors. She became a member of the board in 2009 and serves on the Enloe Medical Center Finance Committee and the 2010 Enloe Gala Committee. Susan is currently a member of the City of Chico Planning Commission and active participant with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Chico.

 

 

NICOLE PLOTTEL

Nicole is the Managing Attorney of Harris & Plottel, LLP, specializing in Estate Planning, Trusts and Elder Law.  Nicole currently serves on the Community Advisory Board for the Gateway Science Museum and actively participates with the State Bar of California, Trusts and Estates Section. She volunteers much of her time with the local Alzheimer’s Association and is a long-standing member of PEO.  A Chico native and born at Enloe, Nicole and her husband are the proud parents of two sons, also born at Enloe.   

 

CONNIE ROWE

Connie is Enloe Medical Center’s Vice President of Patient Care Services, where she is responsible for all aspects of patient care, policies, procedures and quality. She became a board member in 2012. Connie serves on the Board of Directors of the Work Training Center and is a member of AONE (American Organization of Nurse Executives).

 

 

JIM STEVENS

Jim is the principal/owner of NorthStar Engineering, a Chico company for 30 years. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Chico Noon Rotary Club and is an appointed member of the City of Chico Mayor’s Advisory Board and General Plan Advisory Committee, as well as of the Chico Area Recreation and Park District’s Master Plan Citizen’s Advisory Committee. Jim is also a member of the Chico Police Department Business Support Team and Team Patrick, which facilitates development of Patrick Ranch into a museum and community event facility.

 

Patti SouzaPATTI SOUZA

Patti is the Owner, Vice-President and General Manager of Butte County Credit Bureau. She joined the board in 2009 and serves on the New Beginning Campaign Committee. Born at Enloe Medical Center, Patti has lived in Chico her entire life.

 

 

 

Richard SteinRICHARD STEIN

Richard "Dick" Stein is President and Owner of H J Promotional Products, and a Professor at CSUC in Media. He became a board member in 2007 after years of service to Enloe as Golf Chair/Co-chair 2000-03, 2009 and 2010 Tri-Chair. Dick serves on the New Beginning Campaign Committee and the Enloe Foundation Scholarship Committee. He serves many charities as master of ceremonies.

 

 

Member staff

Mike Wiltermood, chief executive officer

Mike joined Enloe Medical Center as Chief Operating Officer in 2007 prior to becoming CEO in 2009. In this capacity, he serves as an ex-officio member of the Enloe Foundation Board of Directors and the Enloe Medical Center Board of Trustees. Mike has extensive experience in the health care field and is currently working to complete his doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University.

 

 

Myron Machula, Chief Financial Officer

MYRON MACHULA, Chief Financial Officer

Myron joined Enloe Medical Center in 2010 and serves as an ex-officio board member. He has worked in health care for nearly three decades, and has experience in finance, operations, consulting and strategic planning after starting his career in teaching and the banking industry. Myron has a BA degree in mathematics and earned his MBA from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University.

 

JOLENE FRANCIS, DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS

Since 1979, Jolene has enjoyed a professional career in both for-profit and non-profit industries of Chico.  Born at Enloe Medical Center, she feels very much at home guiding the activities of the Enloe Foundation as Director of Advancement and Communications.  After a 28-year career in the financial services industry, she spent 3 years as President and CEO of the Chico Chamber of Commerce, furthering the mission of economic development and business advocacy.  In her current role, she works closely with a prestigious group of volunteer board members and generous community supporters, focused on gathering charitable gifts to help improve the programs, equipment and facilities at Enloe Medical Center.  During her career, Jolene has been honored with several awards and recognitions, including the Soroptimist International ‘Women Helping Women’ Award, the Athena Award for women’s business excellence from the Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professionals Organization ‘Mentor of the Year’.
