VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers provide a variety of services at Enloe’s facilities in Chico. Placement depends on each individual’s interest and skills and the current needs of the medical center. Opportunities may involve patient interaction or lending a hand in other supportive ways. If there’s a volunteer opportunity you are interested in but do not see it listed please contact the Volunteer Services Office at (530) 332-4575.
General Hospital Support Volunteers support the hospital generally. Typically, these volunteers are not supervised by a designated liaison. They have moderate-low patient contact and moderate clinical environment exposure. They primarily assist the public and have a high degree of community contact.
General Department Support Volunteers support a specific department within the hospital. These volunteers have moderate clinical environment exposure and moderate patient contact, but a high degree of contact with the clinical staff and the public.
Nursing Unit Support Volunteers work specifically with the nursing staff. They have a high degree of clinical environment exposure, moderate patient contact and moderate public contact.
Patient Support Volunteers are closely associated with the delivery of patient-centered care. These volunteers have a high degree of patient contact and clinical environment exposure. They have moderate public contact.

GENERAL HOSPITAL SUPPORT
Job Title: Floor Courier
Summary: Get ready to be on the move! Our team of floor couriers run errands, escort patients and deliver items to locations hospital-wide.

Summary: Flowers brighten a room, cards bring a smile,
small gifts can provide a needed diversion. Being a part of the gift shop means keeping this resource open daily for our patients, visitors, and employees.

Job Title: Handcrafters
Summary: Sew, stuff, knit, stamp and assemble various items used by the hospital including: baby booties and hats, patient cards,
stuffed animals, neck pillows and more.

Job Title: Information Desk Representative
Summary: Provide frontline customer service to engage hospital visitors and patients upon admission, discharge or visitation.
