Enloe Medical Center’s New Beginning starts now with the enhancement of our facility through the Enloe Century Project, our focus on quality patient centered care with our Planetree affiliation, and our effort to recruit and retain outstanding clinical professionals by supporting their education through scholarships.
The Board of Trustees, senior management, nurses, clinical staff, physicians and volunteers have taken quantifiable measures to set Enloe on a course for success. In conjunction with a highly motivated and professional team of personnel, Enloe’s leaders are taking the organization in a new direction; creating a new beginning.
Three major areas are at the heart of the renewed energy and excitement at Enloe. These are: the Century Project; Planetree; and scholarships to increase education and training for physicians, nurses and staff.
Century Project
The Enloe Century Project is one of the most important projects in the history of Chico, California, and the surrounding region of Butte, Glenn, Colusa, Plumas and Tehama Counties. Virtually every man, woman and child in our area at some time in their life will be served by this wonderful community asset. This transformational project will expand and enhance our facility, doubling our current size. Utilizing an architectural Planetree design as much as possible, our new facility will be conducive to health and healing, while providing the latest in technology and information systems that are important to the care and comfort of patients. At the same time, this new clinical setting at Enloe Medical Center will help attract the best and brightest physicians, nurses and clinical staff. See our progress on the Enloe Century Project.
Planetree
During the past year Enloe Medical Center has put into action the initial stages of bringing Planetree to our community. Founded by a patient, Planetree is committed to enhancing the health care experience from the patient’s perspective. It empowers patients and families through information and education; and encourages “healing partnerships” with physicians, nurses, clinical staff and volunteers to support patients’ active participation in their care. This program, which is being implemented organization-wide is strongly supported and led by the Enloe Medical Center Board of Trustees. All staff, physicians and volunteers are attending educational and inspirational retreats. The atmosphere at Enloe Medical Center has already begun to change along with improved customer service. Scholarships
One of our greatest challenges is the constant effort to recruit, retain and continually enhance the quality of physicians, nurses, and clinical staff. Enloe is committed to providing the resources to encourage and develop our staff through scholarships which support highly qualified people entering the medical field and which encourage those already here to continue on their educational path. Our goal is to have the most skilled, competent and engaged staff to serve our patients with compassionate and quality care every day.
New Beginning Campaign
We would be honored to have you become a part of Enloe’s New Beginning through a gift to Enloe Foundation to benefit the Enloe Century Project, Planetree or Scholarships. Upon completion of the enhanced facility in 2011; full implementation of Planetree; and recruitment and retention of quality clinical physicians, nurses and clinical staff, we believe Enloe Medical Center will be established to ensure the highest quality patient experience far into the future.
Led by a dedicated group of volunteer and executive leaders, the New Beginning Campaign at Enloe Medical Center is raising $15 million in private charitable gifts to support these important endeavors. All of the funds raised will benefit the Enloe Century Project, Planetree and Scholarships. The Campaign leadership team includes representatives from the Enloe Medical Center boards, executive staff, physicians, employees, volunteers and community members. At the point of groundbreaking for the Enloe Century Project, $7.5 million had already been raised from our generous community.
