Mission Possible | Building a Cardiovascular Care Center
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, claiming 610,000 lives annually, that's one in four deaths. Its impact in the north state is significant as well, with nearly 10,000 people treated for cardiovascular disease each year at Enloe Medical Center. To keep up with this need, Enloe Medical Center has undertaken a multi-year project to create a Cardiovascular Care Center that will expand and improve upon facilities and equipment for cardiovascular care in our north state region. Healing the Heart Through Expanded Care
The design for the future Cardiovascular Care Center at Enloe Medical Center has been created with the needs of patients and families in the forefront. The center will create a convenient and central point of heart care by dedicated staff. The beautifully designed space within existing medical center space will double the current capacity and include:
- Three new procedure rooms and new imaging equipment, with a total of four procedure rooms
- 10 bays dedicated to patient care before and after a procedure
- New diagnostic treatment area
- Spacious family lounge
- Private meeting room for physicians and patient family
These expanded facilities and new technologies will improve each patient's access to care and their overall experience at the hospital. In addition to raising the level of care for residents throughout the North Valley, it will serve as an important tool in recruiting the next generation of interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to our region.
