Enloe Medical Center provides a variety of educational and support
programs to promote health and wellness. Some of
these groups were formed through partnerships with community organizations.

AWAKE (for Sleep Apnea)
For people with sleep apnea, 3rd Wednesday of every other

Bariatric Buddies
Information and support for those considering or who have

Bereavement Support
- Enloe Hospice provides a free series of eight weekly bereavement
support group meetings four or five times each year. For more

Better Breathers Support Group
Meets quarterly on the third Wednesday of the month, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Enloe
Outpatient Center, Building C. A respiratory therapist facilitates
the meetings, which are free and usually include speakers.

- Man-to-Man Prostate Cancer Support Group and Education: In association with the American Cancer

- Education: For men newly
diagnosed or with questions. 3rd Tuesday of each
month, 5 to 6:30 p.m., 754 Mangrove Ave., Chico.
Support Group: For men diagnosed, their families
and close friends. 3rd Thursday of each month,
4 to 5:15 p.m., Enloe Conference Center.
- R.A.D. (Recreation and Dream for Children
with Cancer): Free recreational
opportunities held monthly for children being treated for

- Telling Our Stories: Free writing group for people who want to learn more about writing to heal. Meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Cancer Center Conference Room, 251 Cohasset Rd., Chico. 530.332-3855.
- VIVA!: A free support group for youth living
with loved ones who have cancer. Groups are offered as needed. Call 530.332.3855

- Women's Cancer Support Group: Meets on the

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance
For those with depression and bipolar mood disorders
and their family and friends. Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.,

Diabetes Support Group
Meets on the third
Thursday of each month, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Enloe Conference

Emotional Well-Being
- Emotions Anonymous: A 12-step fellowship for
learning to manage emotional distress, held weekly from 5:30 p.m.

Fibromyalgia Educational Support Group

Forever Loved
Support group for anyone ever experiencing perinatal loss.
Sessions include presentations and discussion of topics such as grief and loss, coping tips for the holidays, self-care, relationship issues, men’s grief, children’s grief, subsequent pregnancies and healing rituals.
There is no cost. Sharing is optional. It’s OK just to listen. Second Monday of each month, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Meets in the Seaside Cafe, located in Building C of the Enloe Outpatient Center. 530.332.7610
Head Trauma Support Group
Meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Enloe Conference Center. Call Sandy at 530.345.5799
Insulin Pump Support Group
For people using or interested in using insulin pump
therapy. Facilitated by Enloe’s Diabetes and Nutrition
Services. Led by Certified Nurse Educators at Enloe Medical Center and held on the second Tuesday of every other month: Sept. 9, Nov. 11, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Enloe Conference Center. Mended Hearts
Provides a support group, educational forums, and trained and accredited volunteers (who themselves have heart disease) who visit patients.
Mended Hearts is dedicated to inspiring hope in eart disease patients and their families. The Enloe Heart Program runs the Chico Chapter of this national non-profit organization affiliated with the American Heart Association. 530.332.7655
