Enloe Medical Center announces new chief financial officer
CHICO, Calif., Oct. 21, 2010 – Myron Machula joined Enloe Medical Center as its new chief financial officer beginning Sept. 30. Myron has worked in health care for nearly three decades, after starting his career in teaching and the banking industry. He brings extensive experience in finance, operations, consulting and strategic planning. Myron replaces Christine Sarrico, who left Enloe after nine years as a member of the hospital’s senior leadership team.
“Myron is a proven leader who will be a great asset to the organization, especially considering the challenges we are currently facing with health care reform,state and federal budget cuts, and our struggling economy,” said Mike Wiltermood, CEO.
Myron will primarily be responsible for financial operations. He will oversee employees in Finance, Information Services, Materials Management, Medical Records and Patient Financial Services. Myron most recently served as the Administrator of the Surgery Center of Scottsdale in Arizona. Prior to this, he was Executive Administrator at the Doctors Surgery Center of Kingman and worked at two medical centers as CFO and Executive Vice President/Operations, among other executive experience.
Myron has a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and earned his MBA from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University.
On the personal side, Myron enjoys playing various styles of piano from classical to jazz. He and his wife Dorothy share reading interests and walking for pleasure and exercise. Between them, they have five adult children.
