Barnes & Noble book fair to support Enloe Health Learning Center 

CHICO, Calif., Aug. 12, 2009 – In an effort to raise funds for the Enloe Health Learning Center, Enloe Medical Center is working together with Barnes & Noble Booksellers by hosting a book fair at the Chico, Calif., book store. Readers can support the Enloe Health Learning Center by shopping at the Barnes & Noble located at 2031 Dr. Martin Luther King Parkway on Aug. 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Enloe Health Learning Center is a new local community library that provides health care information through books, Internet access, multimedia resources and more. The library is free and open to the public and offers free library cards.

During the book fair, Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale made with a special book fair voucher to Enloe Medical Center. Vouchers are available on Enloe’s Web site at www.enloe.org/library, and in hard copy at the Enloe Health Learning Center as well as in the latest issue of Enloe’s community newsletter, Stethoscope.

The Barnes & Noble book fair is set up to help the Enloe Health Learning Center in several ways. A percentage of book fair sales will underwrite the library’s cause. Also, the library will have a wish list posted at the book store, with book titles that book fair supporters may purchase and donate to enhance the library collection.

The Enloe Health Learning Center is located at 1465 Esplanade and is open Tuesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The catalog of books is available online at www.enloe.org/library.
